Teen Supers(and rodger the bus driver)

OUR HEROES UNITE

the story begins with a field trip to a local archeological dig. it is a Wednesday in the early fall. as Dr. Cook, the lead archeologist, starts his lecture on the interesting and unique items at this dig site there is a mighty roar from deep within the dig. suddenly a monster, eight feet tall and covered in scales, claws, and teath, comes rushing out grabs the Doctor and is about to eat him. most of the students, teachers, and even Dr. Cook's assistant flee imediatly. the bus driver attempts to protect the students and is beaten into the ground by the monster. Skip grabs a pick axe and swings it at the monster as it is about to devour the good doctor. it imediatly turns and is about to attack skip, suddenly one of the clay jars sitting on the table explodes and a wave of golden light erupts outward. this light is emanating from a golden scarab that was inside the jar, and now is hovering an inch above the table. the monster swings its acid coated claws at skip, but the claws do no damage. they bounce off of his skin, though the acid does have some effect. Theresa is checking on he bus driver, though she cannot find a pulse and he apears to no longer be breathing. Skip manages to hit the creature with a well place pick axe strike. it bellows and blood and ichor flow from the wound. Skip, enboldened by this hits it again, and again strikes deep. suddenly Theresa turns into a monster, though it is a decidedly female monster, this confuses and distracts the monster, and it just stares at her. Skip takes this distraction to hit the monster once more, followed swiftly by Theresa who slams her claws through the monsters chest killing it swiftly. with the monster dead a discussion is then put forth as to what is going on, theresa attempts to regain her shape. after much trial and error she does so. the bus driver wakes up and learns, the hard way, he can control the dead. theresa pockets the scarab, and they come up with a cover story. they do leave the doctor bleeding and unconcious at the dig site as well as the monster, but the police arrive shortly thereafter so everything should be taken care of.


as a note to those who did not make it last night, I said that your characters were there, however they did not interact with the fight. so you all have your powers, and you know who fought with the monster and all that.(I am sorry that it is a little railroady, but otherwise you get no powers and the plot goes nowhere, so please be kind and run with it for now. thanks.)

When last we saw our intrepid heroes they were fleeing the scene of a vicious monster attack and an incident which left them with super powers. They were later questioned by police who had been tipped off to their presence at the attack but were quickly thrown off the scent by the teenagers lying.
The next scene opens up on the young adventurers (and Rodger) returning to their regular lives. Theresas friends ask for the details, Skip is assumed a liar by his peers. Rodger eats a sandwich. They all go home without incident.
Three days later a group of angel like creatures (Called Angelos) attack the local police station. Chaos ensues and students in the school take notice as the staion is not far from the school. Theresa fakes fleeing in terror and heads towards the attack. Skip stops to grab yet another gardening tool to aid his fighting and soon follows. They are both followed by Rodger the bus driver who worries they are going to get themselves killed.
During the Fight Theresa flees from an attacking angelo begore shifting into the hideous lady-beast from last week. She fails to do any damage, but the angel menacing her damages a fire hydrant sendingwater into the air and making the roads a general pain to manuver on.
Skip starts out his ouwn fighting rather rockily by accidentally hurling his garden hoe into the window of a local resident. He recovers by grabbing the flaming sword dropped by an angelo knocked down by Rodger. The sword goes out but Skip still attacks using the hilt. Angelos are unable to damage the resiliant Skip and at soon knocked through the winshield of a parked car.
Rodger, in a stunning display of bravery and disreguard for his own safety dangerously whips the bus between the attackers and the teenagers. The jack-knifed bus bats an angelo into the hood of a car. He drops his sword (the one retrieved by Skip). Rodger follows his up by turning another angel to stone and ending the entire fight by turning the falling water into shards of glass.
Theresa is badly injured but takes the time to change herself into her political rival, the president of the student body. This turns suspicion away from her as she greusomly manipulates her body to heal the bloddy wounds and tears all over her body shocking the gathering crowd of students and police men.
Skip is questioned by the police chief who makes accusations to Skip about the attack he survived without a scratch.
Rodger leaves abruptly and so does Theresa after adding a little more insult to injury to the damaged reputation of the student body president.
