no I won't be able to be there this week as we are striking the set for the show that night. I was merely trying to help with the show as best I could. also what about a fantasy setting and the apocalypse? there are several settings for post apocalypse. there is Gamma world, twilight 2020, systems failure, rifts, there are others as well. similar to those but with an odd twist is Monte Cook's World of Darkness, and even in Aeon Trinity there are post apocalyptic concepts. just to help you along with your research, or whatever.

So are you going to join us this week then?
I think we were going to talk about the kinds of things that are typical in an apocalyptic game as well as the way that they could and have been run in the most popular gaming systems (Wizards of the Coast, White Wolf, Who else?) What would the end of the world be in different worlds? Also what kinds of characters would be interesting to play in an end of the world scenario?

we should discuss what exactly is post-apocalyptic and what it isn't. also what are the core conceits of the genre? what are the elements necessary for an apocalyptic game? what are some ways to get in the mood to play this type of game? what are some tricks for running this style of game? what are good systems for playing in the Apocalypse? post-apocalypse? that sort of thing.

why would you want a post-apoplectic game? that seems a little weird.

seriously, I think apocalyptic games are more fun than post. as there is a higher level of conflict, also there is more emotion and human element than in the post apocalyptic games.

also I will not be able to be at this next game, as my last show is that night. but next week I will be there with bells on.

new show topic for sat.

i think the next show should be on apocaliptic and post-apocaliptic games.
