Natural Disasters

Post by Jake on Wed Mar 31, 2010 1:14 pm

Almost every supers game has mention of them, in fact they often recommend that natural disasters are a great
way to bring parties together. Whether that is true or not is up for debate. My question is this, how do you handle natural disasters in your game? Specifically I am looking for answers for Wild Talents as it is the supers game I intend to use the most, but any supers game will do. I would like to hear stories of what you(the GM) did, how it went, potential pitfalls, and other bits. I would very much like to set a good baseline for my game and I think starting off with combat sets the
wrong starting tone.

boring sidenote: that is the catalyst for this thread, I was playing sim city and was all, "wonder what it's like for the people in my city when Godzilla attacks?"

I don't use natural disasters to much in games, but then again I don't normally run super hero games.
